The clear definition of public and private spaces of the adjacent Wilhelminian style buildings becomes the motif of the area’s development from a once industrially and commercially characterized location into an inner-city district with the focus on residential buildings but also with commercial uses. The modular structure of the district allows for the realisation of different types of housing and architecture without changing the urban structure or the access system.
