Parallel to the existing buildings, the new institute complements the old building which is classified as an historical monument. The new inner courtyard is divided by a cubic lecture hall resulting in a quieter garden area and a vivid entrance hall. The terracotta façade emphasises the horizontal style of the closed elongated tract in a perceivable contrast to the old building.
