The ceremonially groundbreaking for the new MIC-Research Building (Multiscale Imaging Centre) at the University of Münster (WWU) takes place on 7th July 2017. A new centre for inter-faculty research with multiscale imaging procedures will be created in immediate vicinity to the Max-Planck-Institut for Molecular Biomedicin and CeNTech-Center for Nanotechnology. With the new MIC-Building the client ‘Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb Nordrhein-Westfalen’ (BLB NRW) sets a ‘first symbolical stone’ for a technically ultra modern building, that’s designed by Gerber Architekten. The Research Building should be completed in the end of 2019 with the total costs of about 63 Mio. Euros.
