What does it mean to insert BIM into the work process in offices and in running projects? Thomas Lücking, manager of Gerber Architekten international, answered this question in his lecture “Olaya Metro Station Riyadh – Building Information Modeling in use”. Newest developments and solutions were presented in this project. He also showed how the organization of a team and the work flow can be optimized using BIM and how you can use this program to catch up with the ongoing growth in freedom of scope, quality of architecture and delivery times.

The lecture took place on October 27th, during the Detail-congress “BIM – Planungsprozess im Wandel” at the America House in Munich.

For almost fifty years, Gerber Architekten are working in national and international projects. When winning the competition to plan a central metrostation in Riyadh / Saudi Arabia in 2012, the designer started working with Building Information Modeling (BIM). Today Thomas Lücking and Steffen Schünecke belong to the experts in this field. Together with Detail Gerber Architekten could prove their expertise in many ways. Besides a publication about “Analog+Digital” in the march edition of the architecture magazine, the Detail-Fachbuch publishing company also published an interview with the experts in the book “BIM – Building Information Modeling Management”, which was released in October.
