The population in Würzburg consists of 20% students of the university and the university of applied sciences. The trend is ascending. The new student housing building near the Würzburg main train station, designed by Gerber Architekten, should help to work against living room scarcity. Today, September 23rd, the cornerstone is placed in the Aurelis Area.

The design by Gerber Architekten consists of four buildings. Three angled buildings are attached to another building block which helps to protect the courtyard from the sounds of the train tracks and on the other hand they form a landscape design towards the city center. The flexible floor plans make individual usage possible: single apartments, double apartments, even retirement homes.
