At this years GEZE KART EVENT in Kerpen, two trophies and the prize of knowledge went to Gerber Architekten.
After the Qualifying, the four attendees from Gerber Architekten were mixed together with colleagues from other architectural practices to form 12 equal teams. Each team consisted of three or four members. During the race, every participant was driving for 12.5 minutes. After 100 minutes, the winner were pronounced.
Our Gerber Architekten staff members were participating in the two winner teams – first and second. Both trophies got a special place in our office in Dortmund.
Single fighters also won: another staff member from Gerber Architekten gained the prize of knowledge. She left all the other participants behind and knew the most about go-kart and GEZE-products.

In order to promote German architects in there move abroad and to support internationally active developers and investors in their search for suitable architects and urban planners, in 2002 federal Chamber of German Architects (Bundesarchitektenkammer) set up NAX – the Network for Architecture Exchange. The aim of NAX is to make the international exchange of planning services easier and to promote the professional mobility of architects and town planners.
In export experienced architects and ingeneers, were talking about their strategies and experiences in “Planning and building international – strategies & best practice in Nordrhine-Westphalia”. Along the speakers was Marius A. Ryrko, director Asia-Pacific at Gerber Architekten, who was talking about his experiences with the “expansion project China”.

Last week, 18 architecture, interior design and engineering offices met in Hamburg to take part in the traditional small field tournament and to enjoy a weekend of sport. The team of Gerber Architekten reached the final without defeat, where they were beaten 0:1 by DFZ-Architekten
Next year the team will be taking part in the tournament again, and this time aim to win.
The winners have been chosen for the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Germany 2015, which is a prestigious prize for exceptional development projects awarded by the BFW Bundesverband Freier Immobilien- und Wohnungsunternehmen e.V. and FIABCI Germany.
The Quarter of Nations was awarded a special prize. The prizes will be presented at a public award ceremony on 18th September in Berlin.
Demographic changes in china’s society are progressing rapidly
The confucian traditions which oblige the younger generations to care for the elderly becomes less feasible. The master plan of the city of Mujiayu near Beijing has the aim to provide solutions for new ways of life in residence for elderly people. The development of these solutions within the master plan will be a part of a funded pilot project by the chinese government.
In this context, on June 30, Prof. Gerber welcomes the chinese delegation in person and presents projects in the field of medical buildings and the age-based living. The subsequent visit of the in Dortmund realized projects: Harenberg City Center, Dortmunder U, U-District and nursing and retirement home on Zinsweg with medical care in Dortmund Körne completes the chinese visit at best.

For 2015 final diplomas are being awarded to graduates of the Department of Architecture at the Technical University in Braunschweig. For this occasion the University is exhibiting a large part of the projects from the past 70 years. As a distinguished alumnus of the Braunschweig school, Professor Gerber had the honour of speaking about his student years last week. Until the 21st of June 2015 it is possible to visit the “Architekturpavillion” at the Technical University Braunschweig and take a look at his Diploma project – a church community center and home for elderly – designed under Professor Kraemer in 1966.
