Project information
The new building complex comprises two staggered high-rise buildings of different heights and connecting building blocks, creating a quiet inner courtyard through which all parts of the building are accessed. This inner courtyard, which is framed by an elevated low-rise building on the edges of the site, forms a central and green urban space with a semi-public character. The resulting atrium allows visitors to ‘flow through’ and cross the block in a diagonal direction. At the same time, the main entrances to the two high-rise areas, which use the space as a connecting element, are located in this quiet area.
With its structural staggering, the concept responds to the urban surroundings, which are characterised by many high-rise buildings. The ground floor zone of the building ensemble is intended for commercial use and offers generous open spaces that serve both as a place to stay and to walk through.
The shimmering gold louvre constructions on the city-oriented façades give the office complex a dynamic, vertically structured appearance, while the courtyard-side façades are open and transparent. This contrast creates visual connections between the building sections and emphasises the interplay between public and private space.
