Project Information
The housing estate on Bremer Straße in Hamburg-Harburg is to be supplemented by a characteristic ensemble of modern residential buildings to upgrade the entrance area to Harburg’s inner city. The design envisages the addition of three new building blocks with a uniform design language and materiality, which fit perfectly and harmoniously into the partly listed building ensemble from the 1920s. The homogeneous roof landscape with differently inclined roof surfaces mediates between the different floors of the existing buildings and suggests to the viewer a stringing together of many individual city houses.
